People don’t necessarily know that they’re taking on a worldview, or absorbing ideas [while watching television]. It doesn’t necessarily seem like [it’s happening], but it definitely does. I find it very easy to get sucked in. It starts to affect the way you see the world.

Day Five

One of my favorite memories was when my brothers and I would create our own town with all the toys we owned. We would take these waffle blocks and build our roadways that were driven on by micro machines, matchbox cars, and various construction vehicles my brothers owned. One brother had his corner of the town populated with He-Man villians, GI Joe, and a few members of Sesame Street. While the other brother had his share of Star Wars characters, a few Voltron, and several Decepticons (because even if the planes weren’t actual Decepticons, he would explain to us that they were). I would sit on my side with a mixture of micro machines, Barbie with her gigantic car that would never work on the roadways we had, Gem & her pals, Strawberry Shortcake, and My Little Ponies. We agreed that the ponies could use the roads too… for a fee. Generally, my toys would become the Godzillas of our little universe because their scale was not in line with the other toys. Since both my brothers were younger than me, it was often hard for us all to play a game together but this one we played for hours.

Day Four

St. Patty’s Day at the new Tilted Kilt. Gotta love it. Bagpipes and good food. I walked into “Drunken Lullabies” by Flogging Molly and knew I was where I belonged for the night. To new friends and cheer, a great night was had.

Day Three

I’ve watched this show since it first aired. Love it. The quirky writing amuses me. Suit up!

Sarah and I have known each other for a long time. We met over a bag of double stuff oreos. Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of our favorite authors. :)

2010 Nanowrimo

I could make excuses, but ultimately it comes down to I didn’t try to write this year. I had a hard semester and decided to focus on my homework instead of writing.

I wrote a 10,578 words for the month.

I’m happy though. It was more than I expected to write.
